CCDR LVT I.P. Apllies to be recognised as a Regional Innovation Valley

CCDR LVT I.P. has just expressed its interest in being recognised as a REGIONAL INNOVATION VALLEY.

This is a challenge launched to the EUROPEAN REGIONS by the European Commission, together with the Committee of the Regions to distinguish, with the attribution of the “label” REGIONAL INNOVATION VALLEY, the Regions that commit themselves to address the major current challenges, including the improvement of Europe’s industrial competitiveness using advanced technological innovation (as understood in the New European Innovation Agenda), through interregional cooperation.

The Regions have to show interest in cooperating with each other and with the actors of their territories, to build JOINT ACTION PLANS FOR INNOVATION, supported by their Smart Specialisation Strategies (see here Lisbon Smart Specialisation Strategy).

The aim is to strengthen the coordination and orientation of Research and Innovation (R&I) investment and policies, contributing to the Union’s strategic priorities. The Regions will be supported in identifying partners committed to the same objectives, in order to constitute INTERCONNECTED INNOVATION ECOSYSTEMS.

In this new framework, the Regions are committed to involving all innovation actors in the creation and strengthening of these ecosystems. Two calls are now open: Interconnected Innovation Ecosystems (2023.3) (HORIZON-EIE-2023-CONNECT-03) of the Horizon Europe Programme and Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument (ERDF).

Stay tuned to our website for news and contact us at ccdrlvt-dicc@ccdr.buzzvel.work if you are developing a project that fits these calls.
